International People Mobility Survey 2024

Following the results of last years’ survey, we see that Global Mobility has returned in full for many organizations. We have also seen that there has been a shift in the Global Mobility landscape. Local hire assignments are replacing expat assignments, there are more short-term assignments than the more traditional longer-term assignments and a new dimension of global mobility has shown up: international remote working has become very popular amongst employees. Employees who are so important to keep on board! This enforces organizations to redefine their global mobility policy.

At Aon, we carefully follow new developments and wish to understand both ongoing and new challenges for organizations. The goal of this survey is to give you insights on how you and other participants provide global mobility support and the relationship of global mobility with popular topics such as ESG (environmental, social and governance) and DEIB (diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging).
